1Отправившись оттуда, приходит в пределы Иудейские за Иорданскою стороною. Опять собирается к Нему народ, и, по обычаю Своему, Он опять учил их.

2Подошли фарисеи и спросили, искушая Его: позволительно ли разводиться мужу с женою?

3Он сказал им в ответ: что заповедал вам Моисей?

4Они сказали: Моисей позволил писать разводное письмо и разводиться.

5Иисус сказал им в ответ: по жестокосердию вашему он написал вам сию заповедь.

6В начале же создания, Бог мужчину и женщину сотворил их.

7Посему оставит человек отца своего и мать 8и прилепится к жене своей, и будут два одною плотью; так что они уже не двое, но одна плоть.

9Итак, что Бог сочетал, того человек да не разлучает.

10В доме ученики Его опять спросили Его о том же.

11Он сказал им: || кто разведется с женою своею и женится на другой, тот прелюбодействует от нее; 12и если жена разведется с мужем своим и выйдет за другого, прелюбодействует.

13Приносили к Нему детей, чтобы Он прикоснулся к ним; ученики же не допускали приносящих.

14Увидев то, Иисус вознегодовал и сказал им: пустите детей приходить ко Мне и не препятствуйте им, ибо таковых есть Царствие Божие.

15Истинно говорю вам: кто не примет Царствия Божия, как дитя, тот не войдет в него.

16И, обняв их, возложил руки на них и благословил их.

17Когда выходил Он в путь, подбежал некто, пал пред Ним на колени и спросил Его: Учитель благий! что мне делать, чтобы наследовать жизнь вечную?

18Иисус сказал ему: что ты называешь Меня благим? Никто не благ, как только один Бог.

19Знаешь заповеди: не прелюбодействуй, не убивай, не кради, не лжесвидетельствуй, не обижай, почитай отца твоего и мать.

20Он же сказал Ему в ответ: Учитель! всё это сохранил я от юности моей.

21Иисус, взглянув на него, полюбил его и сказал ему: одного тебе недостает: пойди, всё, что имеешь, продай и раздай нищим, и будешь иметь сокровище на небесах; и приходи, последуй за Мною, взяв крест.

22Он же, смутившись от сего слова, отошел с печалью, потому что у него было большое имение.

23И, посмотрев вокруг, Иисус говорит ученикам Своим: || как трудно имеющим богатство войти в Царствие Божие!

24Ученики ужаснулись от слов Его. Но Иисус опять говорит им в ответ: дети! как трудно надеющимся на богатство войти в Царствие Божие!

25Удобнее верблюду пройти сквозь игольные уши, нежели богатому войти в Царствие Божие.

26Они же чрезвычайно изумлялись и говорили между собою: кто же может спастись?

27Иисус, воззрев на них, говорит: человекам это невозможно, но не Богу, ибо всё возможно Богу.

28И начал Петр говорить Ему: вот, мы оставили всё и последовали за Тобою.

29Иисус сказал в ответ: истинно говорю вам: нет никого, кто оставил бы дом, или братьев, или сестер, или отца, или мать, или жену, или детей, или зе́мли, ради Меня и Евангелия, 30и не получил бы ныне, во время сие, среди гонений, во сто крат более домов, и братьев, и сестер, и отцов, и матерей, и детей, и земель, а в веке грядущем жизни вечной.

31Многие же будут первые последними, и последние первыми.

32Когда были они на пути, восходя в Иерусалим, Иисус шел впереди их, а они ужасались и, следуя за Ним, были в страхе. || Подозвав двенадцать, Он опять начал им говорить о том, что́ будет с Ним: 33вот, мы восходим в Иерусалим, и Сын Человеческий предан будет первосвященникам и книжникам, и осудят Его на смерть, и предадут Его язычникам, 34и поругаются над Ним, и будут бить Его, и оплюют Его, и убьют Его; и в третий день воскреснет.

35Тогда подошли к Нему сыновья Зеведеевы Иаков и Иоанн и сказали: Учитель! мы желаем, чтобы Ты сделал нам, о чем попросим.

36Он сказал им: что хотите, чтобы Я сделал вам?

37Они сказали Ему: дай нам сесть у Тебя, одному по правую сторону, а другому по левую в славе Твоей.

38Но Иисус сказал им: не знаете, чего просите. Можете ли пить чашу, которую Я пью, и креститься крещением, которым Я крещусь?

39Они отвечали: можем. Иисус же сказал им: чашу, которую Я пью, будете пить, и крещением, которым Я крещусь, будете креститься; 40а дать сесть у Меня по правую сторону и по левую - не от Меня зависит, но кому уготовано.

41И, услышав, десять начали негодовать на Иакова и Иоанна.

42Иисус же, подозвав их, сказал им: вы знаете, что почитающиеся князьями народов господствуют над ними, и вельможи их властвуют ими.

43Но между вами да не будет так: а кто хочет быть бо́льшим между вами, да будем вам слугою; 44и кто хочет быть первым между вами, да будет всем рабом.

45Ибо и Сын Человеческий не для того пришел, чтобы Ему служили, но чтобы послужить и отдать душу Свою для искупления многих.

46Приходят в Иерихон. И когда выходил Он из Иерихона с учениками Своими и множеством народа, Вартимей, сын Тимеев, слепой сидел у дороги, прося милостыни. 47Услышав, что это Иисус Назорей, он начал кричать и говорить: Иисус, Сын Давидов! помилуй меня.

48Многие заставляли его молчать; но он еще более стал кричать: Сын Давидов! помилуй меня.

49Иисус остановился и велел его позвать. Зовут слепого и говорят ему: не бойся, вставай, зовет тебя.

50Он сбросил с себя верхнюю одежду, встал и пришел к Иисусу.

51Отвечая ему, Иисус спросил: чего ты хочешь от Меня? Слепой сказал Ему: Уч 1 Having departed from there, he comes into the borders of Judah beyond the Jordanian side. Again the people gather to Him, and, according to His custom, He again taught them.

2 The Pharisees came and asked, tempting Him: is it permissible for a husband to divorce his wife?

3He answered them, What did Moses command you to do?

4 They said: Moses allowed to write a divorce letter and get divorced.

5 Jesus answered and said to them, Because of your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.

6At the beginning of creation, God created them male and female.

7Therefore, a man will leave his father and mother 8, and will cleave to his wife, and they shall be two with one flesh; so they are no longer two, but one flesh.

9So that God combined, let not man part.

10 In the house, his disciples again asked him the same thing.

11 He said to them: || he who divorces his wife and marries another adultery from her; 12and if a wife divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.

13Bring children to him, that he would touch them; the disciples did not allow the bringers.

14Seeing that, Jesus was displeased and said to them: Let the children come to Me and do not hinder them, for such is the Kingdom of God.

15 Verily I say unto you, he who does not accept the kingdom of God as a child will not enter into it.

16And he embraced them, laid hands on them, and blessed them.

17When he went out on the road, someone ran up, knelt before him, and asked him: Good teacher! What should I do to inherit eternal life?

18 Jesus said to him, What do you call me good? No one is good, except God alone.

19 You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not offend, Honor your father and mother.

20He answered him, Teacher! I saved all this from my youth.

21 Jesus, looking at him, fell in love with him and said to him: One thing is missing for you: go, sell and give out all that you have to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking the cross.

22He, embarrassed by this word, departed with sorrow, because he had a large estate.

23And looking around, Jesus said to his disciples: || how difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!

24 The disciples were horrified at his words. But Jesus again answered them: children! how difficult it is for those who hope for wealth to enter the kingdom of God!

25 It is more convenient for a camel to go through the ears of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

26They were extremely amazed and said among themselves: Who can be saved?

27 Jesus, looking at them, says: This is impossible for people, but not for God, for everything is possible for God.

28 And Peter began to say unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all and followed you.

29 Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, there is none who would leave the house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or the earth, for my sake and the gospel, 30 and I would not receive now, in this time, among the persecutions, is a hundred times more than houses, and brothers, and sisters, and fathers, and mothers, and children, and lands, and in the century that is to come, eternal life.

31Many will be the first last, and the last first.

32When they were on the way, ascending to Jerusalem, Jesus walked ahead of them, and they were horrified and, following Him, were in fear. || Having called the twelve, He again began to tell them what would happen to Him: 33that we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the high priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and they will deliver him to the Gentiles, 34 and they will mock Him, and they will beat him, and spit upon him, and kill him; and on the third day will rise again.

35Then the sons of Zebedee Jacob and John came to him and said: Teacher! we want you to do what we ask.

36 He said to them: What do you want me to do to you?

37 They said unto him, Let us sit with you, one on the right side, and the other on the left in thy glory.

38But Jesus said unto them, You know not what you ask. Can you drink the cup that I drink and be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?
39 They answered: we can. Jesus said to them: You will drink the cup that I drink, and you will be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized; 40a let me sit on my right side and on the left — it does not depend on me, but to whom it is destined.

41And when they heard ten, they began to resent Jacob and John.

42 And Jesus, having called them, said to them: You know that those who are revered by the princes of the nations rule over them, and their nobles rule them.

43But it will not be so between you: but whoever wants to be more between you, let us be your servant; 44and whoever wants to be the first between you, be all a slave.

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and give His soul for the redemption of many.

46 Come to Jericho. And when he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a multitude of people, Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus, the blind man sat by the road, asking for alms. 47 Hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout and say: Jesus, the Son of David! have mercy on me.

48Many made him silent; but he began to cry even more: Son of David! have mercy on me.

49 Jesus stopped and told him to call. They call the blind man and tell him: do not be afraid, get up, call you.

50He threw off his overcoat, stood up, and came to Jesus.

51 Jesus answered him, and asked: what do you want from me? The blind man said to him: Uch
