2 Кто изречет могущество Господа, возвестит всю славу Его?
3 Блаженны хранящие суд и творящие правду во всякое время!
4 Вспомни обо мне, Господи, в благоволении к народу Твоему; посети меня спасением Твоим,
5 дабы мне видеть благоденствие избранных Твоих, радоваться радостью народа Твоего, хвалиться с наследием Твоим.
6 Согрешили мы с отцами нашими, совершили беззаконие, соделали неправду.
7 Отцы наши в Египте не уразумели чудес Твоих, не помнили множества милостей Твоих и возмутились у моря, у Чермного моря.
8 Но Он спас их ради имени Своего, дабы показать могущество Свое.
9 Грозно рек морю Чермному, и оно иссохло; и провел их по безднам, как по суше;
10 и спас их от руки ненавидящего и избавил их от руки врага.
11 Воды покрыли врагов их, ни одного из них не осталось.
12 И поверили они словам Его, и воспели хвалу Ему.
13 Но скоро забыли дела Его, не дождались Его изволения;
14 увлеклись похотением в пустыне и искусили Бога в необитаемой.
15 И Он исполнил прошение их, но послал язву на души их.
16 И позавидовали в стане Моисею и Аарону, святому Господнему.
17 Разверзлась земля, и поглотила Дафана, и покрыла скопище Авирона.
18 И возгорелся огонь в скопище их, пламень попалил нечестивых.
19 Сделали тельца у Хорива и поклонились истукану
20 и променяли славу свою на изображение вола, едящего траву.
21 Забыли Бога, Спасителя своего, совершившего великое в Египте,
22 дивное в земле Хамовой, страшное у Чермного моря.
23 И хотел истребить их, если бы Моисей, избранный Его, не стал пред Ним в расселине, чтобы отвратить ярость Его, да не погубит их.
24 И презрели они землю желанную, не верили слову Его;
25 и роптали в шатрах своих, не слушались гласа Господнего.
26 И поднял Он руку Свою на них, чтобы низложить их в пустыне,
27 низложить племя их в народах и рассеять их по землям.
28 Они прилепились к Ваал-Фегору и ели жертвы бездушным
29 и раздражали Бога делами своими, и вторглась к ним язва.
30 И восстал Финеес и произвел суд – и остановилась язва.
31 И это вменено ему в праведность в роды родов, вовеки.
32 И прогневали Бога у вод Меривы, и Моисей потерпел за них,
33 ибо они огорчили дух его, и он погрешил устами своими.
34 Не истребили народов, о которых сказал им Господь,
35 но смешались с язычниками и научились делам их;
36 служили истуканам их, которые были для них сетью,
37 и приносили сыновей своих и дочерей своих в жертву бесам;
38 проливали кровь невинную, кровь сыновей своих и дочерей своих, которых приносили в жертву идолам ханаанским, – и осквернилась земля кровью;
39 оскверняли себя делами своими, блудодействовали поступками своими.
40 И воспылал гнев Господа на народ Его, и возгнушался Он наследием Своим,
41 и предал их в руки язычников, и ненавидящие их стали обладать ими.
42 Враги их притесняли их, и они смирялись под рукой их.
43 Много раз Он избавлял их; они же раздражали Его упорством своим, и были уничижаемы за беззаконие свое.
44 Но Он призирал на скорбь их, когда слышал вопль их,
45 и вспоминал завет Свой с ними и раскаивался по множеству милости Своей;
46 и возбуждал к ним сострадание во всех, пленявших их.
47 Спаси нас, Господи, Боже наш, и собери нас из народов, дабы славить святое имя Твое, хвалиться Твоею славою.
48 Благословен Господь, Бог Израилев, во веки веков! И да скажет весь народ: «Аминь! Аллилуйя!» 1 Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.
2 Who speaks the power of the Lord, declares all his glory?
3 Blessed are they who keep judgment and who work the truth at all times!
4 Remember me, O Lord, in grace to your people; visit me with thy salvation
5 that I may see the well-being of your chosen ones, rejoice at the joy of your people, and boast about your inheritance.
6 We have sinned with our fathers, have committed lawlessness, have done a lie.
7 Our fathers in Egypt did not enlighten Your wonders, did not remember the many mercies of Yours, and were indignant at the sea, at the Red Sea.
8 But He saved them for His name's sake, in order to show His power.
9 The sea is formidable to the Red Sea, and it has dried up; and led them through the abysses, as by land;
10 And he saved them from the hand of the hater, and delivered them from the hand of the enemy.
11 The waters covered their enemies, not one of them was left.
12 And they believed His words, and sang His praise.
13 But they soon forgot his deeds, did not wait for his will;
14 were carried away by lust in the wilderness and tempted God into the uninhabited.
15 And He fulfilled their petition, but sent an ulcer to their souls.
16 And they envied in the camp Moses and Aaron, the holy Lord.
17 The earth was opened, and swallowed Dathan, and covered the assembly of Abiram.
18 And a fire kindled in their assembly, a flame burned the wicked.
19 They made a bull in Horeb and bowed to the idol.
20 And they exchanged their glory for the depiction of an ox eating grass.
21 Forgotten God their Savior, who accomplished the great in Egypt,
22 marvelous in the land of Khamova, terrible at the Red Sea.
23 And he wanted to destroy them, if Moses, His chosen one, had not stood before Him in a cleft to avert His fury, that He would not destroy them.
24 And they despised the land they desired, did not believe His word;
25 And they murmured in their tents; they did not obey the voice of the Lord.
26 And he lifted up his hand upon them, to lay them in the wilderness,
27 to bring down their people among the nations, and to scatter them among the lands.
28 They cleaved to Baal-peor, and ate sacrifices of the soulless.
29 And they irritated God with their deeds, and an ulcer invaded them.
30 And Phinehas rose up and made judgment; and the plague stopped.
31 And this is imputed to him in righteousness in the birth of the generations, forever.
32 And they angered God at the waters of Meriva, and Moses suffered for them,
33 For they grieved his spirit, and he sinned with his mouth.
34 They did not destroy the nations that the Lord spoke to them,
35 But they mingled with the Gentiles and learned their works;
36 They served their idols, which were their net
37 And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons;
38 They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood;
39 they defiled themselves with their deeds, they committed fornication with their deeds.
40 And the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance,
41 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gentiles, and those who hated them began to possess them.
42 Their enemies oppressed them, and they humbled themselves at their hand.
43 Many times He delivered them; they irritated Him with their stubbornness, and were humiliated for their iniquity.
44 But he looked upon their grief when he heard their cry,
45 And he remembered his covenant with them, and repented of his multitude of mercy;
46 and aroused compassion for them in all who captivated them.
47 Save us, Lord, our God, and gather us from the nations in order to glorify your holy name, to boast in your glory.
48 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, forever and ever! And let all the people say: “Amen! Hallelujah!"
