We hold tight to the ghosts in the stories, we do everything that we can to keep them alive.
We take turns in turning the pages, in reading the words, in showing the pictures.
The failures and the wait, those days have past.
Set sail towards somewhere we will come too fast.
- Concrete And Glass
I know her now, through the words in the poems
that come with her name, through the drawings
the sentences have made. I know her twenty years
will last a lot longer.
Maybe she'll catch me if I let her. An end to this
fall.
- Deception Pass
From damaged stories and memories we run, from the shadows of our lapses, the reflections of our defeats
Through barren land of shattered plans, through the darkest hours I’ll hold your hand
Through flooded towns, through burned down cities, places we have worn out with time and the scenes that took place there.
We’re back in the scenery were it all began but the days are different and the words as well.
There is a novel with our names in, a map over our time
Half the pages written, half the pages blank.
- From Across The Sea
Dear Emily,
Stay with me as the day is dying.
There are things in me,
I don't want to fell asleep with.
With a broken heart,
Her name on the tip of my tongue.
Oh Emily,
That is how I'll end this evening.
- Green Meadow Island
we moved like steady figures detached
from the shadows that night,
when we were princes
for a ittle while.
so far away from here,
longing for more,
until the light of day.
- Marks
There are marks,
Where we once walked,
In buildings,
Bridges and roads.
Left for the memory,
Of what we had,
For the rememberance of how days once left,
Without leaving us this empty.
- Ox-Eye
Of all the words you said
These were the ones that could have saved us both
But you said them
Far too late
Of all the words you said
These could've kept the shadows
Of my family
- Sparrow Hills
We're dying but we cannot die. The tales that we
wrote were much greater than us. This is not the
new start we thought we fought for. It's the finish-
ing words, the finishing words of a final chapter.
The veins in your arms, like branches they stretch
out, like the roads on a map. The veins in your
arms, they lead to your heart but they're not
- Spring Tides
You fall and you fall, eventually you get up.
It hurts like hell but brings you to life.
I didn't see this coming the end of all that was.
Just lived the lie that what brings you rest cannot
hurt you. It was summer and I hoped for more
than the rut this place brings. All I got was
emptiness that still haunts me. I lost a part of
- The Hourglass
A chat and a glass, a song and a kiss.
Give in for memories and it will cost you your title.
Your home and its history, the stories written between the walls of it.
They won't carry you but I'll help you write new ones.
We were characters in a dream.
The reasons to try fell around us like rain.
- White Belt, Black Heart
Still unbroken, or is there cracks that just don't show? Covered up by the people you care for.
'cause they're further down than you. No one could ever notice, 'cause they're further down than you.
And they lost it years ago to find and loose it once more. You didn't find it at all.
Standing with the same scars now.
Just a hand full of broken plans.
At the same spot, different towns.
We've been here to long.
- Winter Nights
They say the snow is coming,
I felt it in the air this morning.
It was that kind of cold that makes you think of
Somewhere you waited,
Far too long,
For someone who didn't always turn up.
But it was worth it always,
