- Angelic
When I can't see the forest for the trees
You call my name and I hear angels in the breeze
When I feel Hell
You lift me up to Heaven
And when I'm gone you bring me down to earth again
You make me believe
In angels
When I feel pain
- Deploribus Unum
oh Lord what have you done?
did you let the Devil steal the sun?
did you sell our souls? do you feel the pain?
when you realise your love is in vain?
If there is a God out there...he surely must be blind...
and if there is a God out there, he must have left the world
behind
my friend, God loves his children
- Karmic Dogs
I am just a riff of blues
headlight deer (wearing) hunterskin shoes
and I am just a waste of space
pollution fish (with a) hook in your face
and I've got to run...
Because I know
Karmic Dogs are on my trail...
I am just a number and
- Last Resort
Cast three stones into the river and I lost my mind...lost my mind
lit a candle in the temple...for the thirteenth time
Can You hear me??
By the light of the moon, She gave Life to a burning Fireburning Fire
- Owned Again
You stupid shit, you got owned again
and blame Satan for the Hell you're in
there's a killer in your head who'd love to see you drown
and the savior of your soul
is just a laughing clown
Still I try...to believe in you
Head like a stone, you believe your own
lies laugh as they rise
- Praying Mantis
This is the first song I wrote after "Lunar Ecstasy" - right after my grandfather passed away. Maybe the most lost I've ever felt in my life. I put it down and came back to it after seeing a documentary about the death of the great John Lennon...Shot in the back in front of the Dakota hotel by Mark Chapman. The working title for awhile was "Devil at the Dakota". I just didn't feel right releasing it under that title, so a meditation produced the title "Praying Mantis".
- The Demon's Eye
Far behind the light of day
the demons stray
the lies obey
Down below the Blessed Sun
the Devil runs
it has begun
On black wings flies...the Demon's Eye
From within the black of night
- Wash Me Away
Went down to the tracks and waited for the train
to come and run me down again
felt the cold chill
heard the rumble in the distance
and it disappeared into the wind
Sat down by the ocean and waited for the tide
to wash me away
it's about as low as it can go
- Your Dirge
I wrote this song when I was 16 years old. Jammed this one all over the place.
And it still lives on. So I finally recorded it.
I remember when I first wrote this it had another riff that I thought was the greatest riff ever. Then maybe six months later, ...And Justice For All was released, and my bandmates and I listened in heartbroken shock as one of the riffs in "Harvester of Sorrow" bared an eerie resemblance...so I scrapped that riff. Man was I pissed about that coincidence. Like James tapped into my vibe telepathically. Smoke another one, right?? Ha!
- Your Sacred Space
Are You happy with Your life today?
are Your Ghosts in the ground? Have they withered away?
when You look in the mirror, do You recognize The Eyes?
and do you have the time to return to Your Sacred Space?
