- Beans, Bacon and Gravy
I was born long ago, in eighteen ninety four
I've seen many a panic I will own
I've been hungry, I've been cold, and now I'm growin' old
But the worst I've seen is nineteen thirty one
Oh those beans, bacon and gravy
They almost drive me crazy
I eat them 'til I see them in my dreams
- Billy The Kid
I'll tell you the story of Billy The Kid
I'll tell you the things that this young outlaw did,
It was out in New Mexico long long ago
When a man's only chance was his old .44.
When Billy The Kid was a very young lad,
In the old Silver City he went to the bad
Way out in the West with a gun in his hand
- Black is the Color
Black is the color of my true love's hair
His face is like roses so fair
He's the prettiest face
And the neatest of hands
I love the ground on where he stands
Oh I love my love
And this he knows
- Black Is the Colour
Black, black, black is the color of my true love's hair
Her face is something wondrous fair
The purest eyes and the daintiest hands.
I love the ground on which she stands.
I love my love and whell she knows
I'll follow her where'er she goes.
I will write her a letter containing these lines:
- Cumberland Mountain Bear Chase
Away, away, we're bound for the mountain,
Bound for the mountain, bound for the mountain;
Over the hills, the fields, and the fountain,
Away to the chase, away, away!
Rover, Rover, see him, see him;
Rover, Rover, catch him, catch him;
Over the mountain, the hills, and the fountain,
- Fifteen Miles On The Erie Canal
I've got a mule and her name is Sal
Fifteen miles on the Erie Canal
She's a good old worker and a good old pal
Fifteen miles on the Erie Canal
We haul'd some barges in our day
Filled with lumber, coal, and hay
We know every inch of the way
- Frog Went A-Courting
Froggie went a-courtin' and he did ride
Uh huh, uh huh
Froggie went a courtin' and he did ride
Sword and pistol by his side uh huh, uh huh
Well he rode down to Miss Mousey's door
Uh huh, uh huh
He rode down to Miss Mousey's door
- Garbage
Mister Thompson calls the waiter, orders steak and baked potato
Then he leaves the bone and gristle and he never eats the skins;
The busboy comes and takes it, with a cough contaminates it
And puts it in a can with coffee grinds and sardine tins;
The truck comes by on Friday and carts it all away;
And a thousand trucks just like it are converging on the Bay, oh,
Garbage (garbage, garbage, garbage) Garbage!
- Goodnight, Irene
[Chorus]
Irene goodnight,
Irene goodnight.
Goodnight, Irene, goodnight, Irene,
I'll see you in my dreams.
Sometimes I live in the country,
Sometimes I live in town.
- He Lies In The American Land
Ah, my God what is this land of America?
So many people travelling there
I will go too for I am still young
God the Lord will grant me good luck there
You, my wife stay here 'til you hear from me
When you get my letter
Put everything in order
- Home on the Range
Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam,
Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.
Chorus Home, home on the range,
Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
- Italian Christmas Song
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, glory, Halle
What's all that noise?
Hallelujah
Don't give up with that now
Glory, Halle
Who's that over in the corner?
Hallelujah
- Jackaro
There was a wealthy merchant, in London he did dwell
He had a lovely daughter, the truth to you I'll tell
Oh, the truth to you I'll tell
Her sweethearts they were plentiful, she courted day and night
Until on Jackie Fraser she placed her heart's delight
Oh, she placed her heart's delight
- Joe Hill
Музыка: Hayes Слова: Robinson

"I never died" says he.
"In Salt Lake, Joe, by God" says I,
- John Brown's Body
John Brown's Body
John Brown's body lies a-mouldering in the grave,
John Brown's body lies a-mouldering in the grave,

But his soul goes marching on.
(Chorus)

Do I see Gen'ral Koster and all his crew?
- Letter To Eve
Oh Eve, where is Adam?
I see you've been kept
Out of the garden
And I said
Oh, Eve, where is Adam?
Now you've been kept
Out of the garden
I have wandered from shore to shore
- Little Boxes
1. Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky-tacky,
Little boxes, little boxes,
Little boxes, all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.
- Liza Jane
I got a girl in Arkansas, little Liza Jane
She sleeps in her kitchen
With her feet in the hall, little Liza Jane
Oh, won't you? Oh Eliza, little Liza Jane
Oh, won't you? Oh Eliza, little Liza Jane
I'm gonna marry her if I can
- Mail Myself To You
I'm gonna wrap myself in paper
I'm gonna daub myself with glue
Stick some stamps on the top of my head
I'm gonna mail myself to you
I'm gonna tie me in a little red string
I'm gonna tie blue ribbons too
Climb up into my mailbox
- May There Always Be Sunshine
I've learned another song in anther language up in Moscow! There were playing a song on the radio and a very catchy chorus. I've found out the words were written by a six year old boy, it seems they had a children's art exhabit. And it was a typical six year old painting kinda big blue sky and big yellow sun in the middle of it. And two figures below. And he's written a poem and has put it on the bottom of the page:
May there always be sunshine
May there always be blue skys
May there always be mommy
May there always be me.
I've wrote it myself)
- New River Train
I'm riding on that new river train

Oh, you can't love but one, and have any fun
- One Grain Of Sand
One Grain of Sand
(Pete Seeger)
One grain of sand,
One grain of sand in all the world.
One grain of sand,
One little boy, one little girl.
- Queen Anne Front
When Great Grandfather was a gay young man
And Great Grandmother was his bride
They found a lot, a jolly little spot
Over on the old North Side
It sloped down toward the river, from River Avenue
Great Grandma said that it would give her
Such a lovely view
So they took a look in Godey's Ladies Book
- Round And Round Hitler's Grave
I wish I had a bushel,
I wish I had a peck,
I wish I had a rope to tie
Around old Hitler's neck.
[Chorus (after each verse):]
Hey! Round and round Hitler's grave,
Round and round we'll go.
- Sailing Down This Golden River

Snow, snow, falling down;
Covering up my dirty old town.
Covers the garbage dump, covers the holes,
Covers the rich homes, and the poor souls,
Covers the station, covers the tracks,
Covers the footsteps of those who'll not be back.
- Solidarity Forever
When the union's inspiration
through the workers' blood shall run,
There can be no power greater
anywhere beneath the sun;
Yet what force on earth is weaker
than the feeble strength of one?
But the union makes us strong.
- Take It from Dr. King
Down in Alabama, 1955
Not many of us here tonight were then alive
A young Baptist preacher led a bus boycott
He led the way for a brand
New day without firing a shot
Don't say it can't be done
The battle's just begun
- Talking Union
Now, if you want higher wages let me tell you what to do
You got to talk to the workers in the shop with you.
You got to build you a union, got to make it strong,
But if you all stick together, boys, it won't be long.
You get shorter hours, better working conditions,
Vacations with pay. Take your kids to the seashore.
It ain't quite this simple, so I better explain
- Teachers Blues
Oh teacher, teacher why are you so poor?
Oh teacher, teacher why are you so poor?
When it comes to unions you’re an amateur
Now, unions are for workers but
A teacher has prestige
Oh unions are for workers but a
Teacher has prestige he can feed his kids on
- The Banks Of Marble
I've traveled around this country
From shore to shining shore;

I heard the auction hammer
- The Fox
The fox went out to the chase one night
Prayed to the moon to give him light
He had many a mile to go that night
Before he reached the town-o, town-o town-o,
Many a mile to go that night before he reached the town
Many a mile to go that night before he reached the town
He ran 'til he came to a great big pen

- Waist Deep in the Big Muddy
It was back in nineteen forty-two,
I was a member of a good platoon.
We were on maneuvers in-a Loozianna,
One night by the light of the moon.
The captain told us to ford a river,
That's how it all begun.
We were -- knee deep in the Big Muddy,
- We shall overcome
We shall overcome,
We shall overcome,
We shall overcome, some day.
Oh, deep in my heart,
I do believe
We shall overcome, some day.
- What Did You Learn In School
WHAT DID YOU LEARN IN SCHOOL TODAY
(Tom Paxton)
What did you learn in school today, dear little boy of mine?
I learned that Washington never told a lie
I learned that soldiers seldom die
I learned that everybody's free
That's what the teacher said to me
- Where Have All the Flowers Gone
Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the flowers gone?
Young girls have picked them everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time passing?
- Which Side Are You On
Come all of you good workers,
Good news to you I'll tell
Of how the good old union
Has come in here to dwell.
припев:
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
